FREDERIKS BRYGGE
STANDS OUT

The developers behind Frederiks Brygge have succeeded in creating a district where good neighbours and the local environment are highly valued and also in creating an environment where there is room and possibilities for a wide section of the population. This makes Frederiks Brygge a special neighbourhood along the canals of Copenhagen, which is otherwise an area for a narrower segment.

Here you will find all the possibilities of the waterfront right outside your door, a location where most practical needs can be met within walking distance, and where both the commuter and those who use the city, the most will have a unique starting point for everyday life.

THE WATER AND THE SQUARE

In the common, southwest-facing square you have a view of the harbour-basin and space for play, fun, and large outdoor events. Here the residents can have common flea markets and summer parties. The square is equipped with a playground, sports field, and table tennis and of course has direct access to the long, wide wooden jetty, where residents can have a canoe or a kayak. The square’s orientation gives you optimal benefit of the sun, which can be enjoyed throughout most of the day and well into the bright summer evenings where the square really comes into its own. The water can be used all year round. Here you can leave the quay very early on weekday mornings and enjoy the city from the water before the rest of the world wakes up, just as you can easily and quickly get to several of the popular harbour baths and dipping zones around the canals.

Community buildings

The residents at Frederiks Brygge have the opportunity to use the three communal houses, where everything from DIY-projects, gardening, celebration of life’s events as well as water sports and sailing are given the best conditions to be developed.

The Greenhouse functions as a cultivation house where residents with a penchant for gardening can harvest their own fruit, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. In Væksthuset there is also room to meet about shared interests in informal groups.

The Event House contains an event hall as well as kitchen, toilet and wardrobe. Here you can host both private events and enjoy common events for the residents of the area.

The Workshop has a central location facing the street, thereby providing easy access for everyone. This is where you can repair your bike, indulge in small and medium-sized DIY-projects and other artisan pursuits.

WHAT THE RESIDENTS SAY!

FROM SUBURB TO FREDERIKS BRYGGE

When Jette and Bent Lauridsen sold their house, the dream was to move to Copenhagen to enjoy everything the city had to offer. But in addition to city life, the desire to be close to green areas and the water was also top on the wish list. Frederiks Brygge turned out to be everything the couple wanted.

” Our choice of residence wasn’t difficult and we are very happy to live at Frederiks Brygge. We live in a beautiful flat on the 5th floor with a balcony which is super useful and has a view over the water. We enjoy being able to cycle around the city and the privilege of living in it and yet being very close to green areas and the water. Here we have an obvious and wonderful opportunity to paddle a kayak in beautiful surroundings.”

THE INTEGRATED SOLUTION OF THE DISTRICT WAS PARAMOUNT TO US!

The vision for Frederiks Brygge is to create a vibrant district with a focus on activity, community, and environment. And that was an important part when Jette og Bent made their decision.

“We really enjoy the common areas and the visions that are in full development, and we are happy about the environmentally friendly approach with a well-functioning system for waste sorting and energy-friendly flats.”

Jette og Bent Lauridsen,
Pladehals Allé, Frederiks Brygge
